Sentiero Rilke

White rocks overlooking the sea, the enveloping scents of the Mediterranean scrub, unforgettable views with which the gaze enters the blue: this is the Rilke path!
The path, named after the Bohemian poet Rainer Maria Rilke and inaugurated in 1987, extends for 1700 meters and allows access to the nature reserve from Sistiana or Duino; the path has an almost flat course, which allows anyone to tackle the walk. From here the view sweeps over the entire Gulf of Trieste and you can admire the cliffs of Duino, formed - like the entire karst plateau - by carbonate rocks, born from the sedimentation of animal shells on the bottom of a shallow sea.
