Description
From Piazza Unità to the Castle of San Giusto overlooking the city.
Along this itinerary we will immerse ourselves in the heart of the ancient "Tergeste" (this is how the Romans called it), going through the most characteristic districts of the "cità vecia" that James Joyce loved dearly. Are we ready? Let’s lace our shoes then and let’s walk up together to the Castle revisiting, as far as possible, the ancient walls of the original core of the city of Trieste, including anecdotes, bits of history and legends.
Note: FOR THOSE WISHING TO DO SO, it is possible to use the elevator of the PARK SAN GIUSTO (behind Piazza Unità d'Italia next to the Roman Theater) to get straight to the square of the Castle of San Giusto and walk down towards the sea from there.
