Description

The elegant Piazza della Borsa owes its name to the neoclassical palace built in 1800 to house the activities of the merchants of the Stock Exchange (currently home to the Chamber of Commerce). Deep in his thoughts, sitting on the nearby bench, we find the recent bronze statue of the Vate D'annunzio and opposite, on the side of the fountain of Neptune, is the elegant stone column with the statue of Leopold I of Austria. Along the perimeter of the square you can admire several buildings, including Casa Bartoli, an interesting example of the Art Nouveau style typical of this area and the former Dreher palace (that of the beer...) also known as "Palazzo della Borsa Nuova" (Palace of the New Stock Exchange)".
