Description
Caffè Stella Polare is located at the end of the Grand Canal, close to the portico of the Church of Sant'Antonio Nuovo. In a cosmopolitan city such as Trieste, Caffè Stella Polare was and still is one of the most popular meeting places for tourists and travellers. Its patrons included Umberto Saba, Guido Voghera, Virgilio Giotti and James Joyce, who used to teach at the nearby Berlitz School.
