Description

Antico Caffè Torinese was built between Piazza della Borsa and Via Roma in 1919. Once through the front door, you will feel as if you have stepped back in time and entered an elegant salon, like the ones you used to see on the old ocean liners that sailed to distant shores at the turn of the century. The original Art Nouveau-style bar and the furnishings by famous cabinetmaker Debelli – a great builder of cruise ship interiors – make it one of the few examples of historic establishments that have remained unchanged over time, which has earned it recognition as a historic establishment with a gold plaque of authenticity. The mix of old and new that the new management has created is interesting, so much so that the café is also appreciated as a happy hour venue.
