Ring Slivia, Malchina, Visogliano

🥾🌄 The hike we are going to take has been divided into 6 steps 🔢 with we start from the charming Church of Saint Mary Magdalene, located in the small village of Slivia ⛪

Then we follow the CAI route to the village of Malchina (see point 4 "Agriturismo Mezzaluna" 🍽️) and then to the locality of Visogliano 🏡 and finally reconnect to our starting point 🔄.

We will encounter the classic Karst landscape, with the characteristic "dry stone" walls dividing the properties of various fields.

The photos you will see were taken in November when the colors of the Trieste Karst begin to change 🍂 transitioning from lush green to classic autumn yellows that become amber and then bright red on the sumac plants 🍁.

This route, being a loop, can start either from Slivia or from Malchina 🔄 depending on where you decide to park 🚗.

The private parking lot of the Agriturismo is certainly more spacious and convenient, but clearly, it requires purchasing something as it's dedicated to customers 🍷, alternatively you can park on the road, outside the property.

We chose to start from Slivia 🚶‍♀️ (those who wish can also decide to visit the nearby CAVES of SLIVIA 🦇, since it's right there).

The walk takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes ⏱️, is suitable for everyone 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦, and takes place mainly on a path of earth and gravel.

The route is protected from the gusts of the bora wind 🌬️ which makes it accessible in any season 🌞🍃🍂❄️.
