Miramare Castle is the emblem of the love ❤️ that Archduke Maximilian of Habsburg (brother of Emperor Franz Joseph) felt for the city of Trieste.
Here, on a rocky promontory overlooking the sea 🌊, the Archduke chose in 1860 to build his residence 🏰 and surround it with a vast 22-hectare park 🌳.
