Camminata Napoleonica e Anello di Monte Grisa

The path we are going to do is a panoramic ring on the karst edge that will lead us to admire breathtaking views!
Our proposal starts from the small parking lot under the Obelisk of Opicina (easily reachable also by TRAM see the dedicated route), we will take the famous Napoleonic road until we arrive near Prosecco. From here, we will go up towards the Vedetta Italia and then we will reach Monte Mariano (for the Triestines: "Formgin" given its similarity similar to a pitted cheese ... Let's go back first following the road of the Via Crucis which then intersects with the Nicolò Cobolli path, more shaded and cooler thanks to the large pine forest that surrounds it. The path being a circuit can be done from both directions and it is good to know that although it is high above the sea, it is protected from the bora, so much so that on the cliffs of Prosecco you will find, even on winter days, numerous sport climbers who are ready to climb the white walls.
